About Dawn Troyer Dance Studio, LLC
The Dawn Troyer Dance Studio has been part of the Wausau community for over 40 years, and was one of the first dance studios in the area. Leah Brown took ownership in 2003. She started her passion of dancing at age two and a half and turned that passion into a career by teaching others the art of dance.
The Dawn Troyer Dance Studio, since its creation, and continued under owner Leah Brown, has provided high quality dance instruction using innovative choreography and by creating an atmosphere that is fun, but challenging. This perspective has taught the students the value of dedication, hard work, and discipline.
Since being the owner of the Dawn Troyer Dance Studio, Leah Brown has created more opportunities for students to showcase their talents by introducing new things like competitive dance lines. The students, by competing all over the state, have proved their skills and performance abilities by repeatedly placing at the top of their category as well as by earning additional awards such as high point routine and standout dancer.
The Studio also stresses the importance of community involvement by raising money for local charities and volunteering their time to perform for individuals receiving care through supportive living.
For over 15 years, Leah has been teaching and choreographing routines. In 1998, Leah danced for the half-time show at the Citrus Bowl in Florida. In 2001, she went to Paris, France and performed at the New Years Day Parade where the Prime Minister and thousands of citizens were present. Leah has also danced professionally at Six Flags Great America, before returning to the Wausau area to pursue teaching. Leah has also expanded the studio; adding a second location in Merrill, WI.
Aside from being a dedicated business owner and dance teacher, Leah is also married and is the mother of two sons.
